Yeeeehawwwww by ldhenson Yeeeehawwwww by ldhenson
Oh those carefree Friday nights of yore, clustered around the TV with the rest of the neighborhood kids, just waiting for that theme song to start.

Acrylic felt and polyfill. Measures about 10.5" long.

The General Lee is my fifth hand-stitched plush car design and it took a while to work out the geometry, but I'm real happy with him.

If you link me to the original pic I could probably make one for you, if you like. I don't have room for more icons myself but it'd be fun to make a Dukes one for someone else.

Here you go: [link]

dA has really tiny size limits but this should fit. Let me know if you want the speed changed (the "shifting" part can't be changed, but I can make it pause longer or shorter on each of the guys).

This is great! I don't normally care about cars (even though Top Gear is one of my favorite shows), but in plush form they are more interesting! hehe

You must be me! I'm a big TG fan too, but aside from being very fond of certain cars, I'm not what you'd call a car person. I just like a lot of shows that happen to feature cars :)

I made a plush version of Richard Hammond's Oliver too, though I haven't posted it yet to dA. You can see it at my Livejournal: [link]

omg I LOVE Oliver!! You totally have to say if you hear anything back from Richard or TG when you send it in!

That was actually a couple years ago. I know the package got to the TG offices, because I got back a form letter, but I have no idea what actually happened to plush Oliver himself...

Haha sorry. After I wrote the comment a friend of mine that I had shown Oliver to (and also loved it) pointed out how long ago it was. Sometimes important details escape me ;) We both were disappointed that you only got a form letter back, but decided it was nice that you at least got something back rather than receiving nothing :D

Never seen a plush car before! XD

Actually, I don't know this show? And I don't know how I feel about that confederate flag on the top there....

Either way, beautiful colors, and great craftsmanship!!!

Thanks very much! The cars are a lot of work so I don't do them often, but I love each of them.

The General Lee is from The Dukes of Hazzard (1979-1985). The rural south setting (including the flag) is purely tongue-in-cheek. Heck, pretty much everything about the show is :)

Great job! My family owns a bar called the Boar's Nest, they freaked when I showed them this! (As a fellow plusher, I give you mad props, I would never attempt something so 3-D!)

Thank you! It took a lot of scratch paper and a lot of reference pics to figure this one out, but it was great seeing it all come together at the end.

That's awesome that your family owns a Boar's Nest bar. Where is it? And I've seen your plushes around, they're adorable!

It's in Southern Wisconsin. There's a General Lee on the roof and we also have one we drive around in the summer.
